Overnight Closures Coming To Sunken Meadow State Parkway In Smithtown: Info
Bridge maintenance will be done over the course of two nights.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Overnight road closures are coming to the Sunken Meadow State Parkway in the Town of Smithtown, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.
Bridge maintenance is scheduled, weather permitting.
- On Sunday, the northbound direction will be closed at Exit SM3E (Jericho Turnpike/State Route 25) between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Motorists will be detoured off at Exit SM3E, then bear left onto northbound Indian Head Road for approximately a quarter-mile for access to Sunken Meadow Parkway.
- On Monday, the southbound direction will be closed at Exit SM3W between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Motorists will be detoured at Exit SM3W onto Old Indian Head Road for westbound Jericho Turnpike to eastbound State Route 454 for access to Sunken Meadow Parkway.
Electronic message signs near the project sites will display updated closure information.

Motorists were urged by the department to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of one's driver's license.
