• Woman Stole Shoes From Lake Grove Dick’s Sporting Goods: Police (patch.com) — Police are asking Smithtown-area residents for help identifying a woman who allegedly stole three pairs of shoes from Dick’s Sporting Goods at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on Nov. 28. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anonymous tips submitted by phone, app, or online that lead to an arrest.
   

• GoFundMe Launched For Mother, Son Killed In Smithtown House Fire (patch.com) — A Smithtown family is seeking community support after Christine and Nicholas Lehmann were killed in a November 30 house fire on Fifty Acre Road South, while a third resident was hospitalized. Police say the blaze appears non-criminal as homicide and arson detectives continue investigating. A GoFundMe is raising money to honor the victims by supporting people with special needs and local first responders.
