Police ID Pedestrian Killed In Suffolk Crash
The pedestrian was in the road when they were hit, police say.
NESCONSET, NY — A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Nesconset on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
Suffolk police on Friday identified Gustavo Carino, 31, of Washington Heights, as the man who was killed in the crash.
A 27-year-old Nesconset woman was driving a 2005 Honda CRV eastbound on Nesconset Highway, east of Terry Road, when she struck Carino, who was in the roadway, at 9 p.m., police said.

Carino was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not injured, police said.

The Honda was impounded for a safety check. Detectives asked anyone with information on the crash to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
