Police: 2 Men Stole a Wallet, Made Purchases in Lake Grove Macy's

Police are seeking information about two men who stole a woman’s wallet in Lake Grove and used her credit cards to make purchases.

According to a police news release, two men stole a wallet that belonged to a female shopper who had temporarily placed it on a counter in the cosmetics department in Macy’s in the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove Oct. 12, 2015.

The two men left Macy’s and used the woman’s credit cards to buy jewelry in another store in the mall, the release states. The suspects also attempted to purchase items in other locations later in the day, but they were denied, the release states.

The two men appeared to be between 30 to 40 years old and clean-cut with a medium dark complexion and black hair, the release states. One suspect was clean shaven and the other had a beard and a mustache.
