Police ID Pedestrian Killed In Suffolk Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
The driver fled after fatally striking a woman and is wanted for a hit-and-run, police say.
LAKE GROVE, NY — Sampada Aduulla, 24, of Lake Grove, was identified as the woman killed in a hit-and-run crash while crossing Nesconset Highway in Lake Grove on Saturday, Suffolk police said in an update on Sunday.
Aduulla was crossing Nesconset Highway, near Hallock Road, when she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound at 6:20 a.m. Saturday, police said. The motorist kept driving, police said.
Aduulla was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
