Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki took home NBA Finals MVP honors and his first championship ring Sunday afternoon – so where does that place him among the NBA elite?
The Dallas Mavericks, led my 10-time NBA all-star Dirk Nowitzki, won the title Sunday night on the road against the Miami Heat. In the win, Nowitzki scored 21 points on 9-of-27 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Nowitzki's regular season averages include scoring 23 points-per-game and grabbing seven rebounds. During the Mavericks playoff run, Nowitzki topped his regular season averages, scoring 27 points-per-game and averaging eight rebounds.
