Rain Doesn't Deter Runners at the Running of the Bull 5K [Photos]
Hundreds of runners hit the streets Saturday for the annual benefit run.
Despite soggy weather conditions and wet roads, hundreds of runners hit the Smithtown streets for the annual Running of the Bull 5K early Saturday morning.Â
The race, sponsored by the Damianos Realty Group and the Greater Smithtown Chamber of Commerce, began just after the 9 a.m. scheduled start time and as he did last year, state Sen. John Flanagan, R-E. Northport, was at the starting line to start the run. This year, however, Flanagan was joined by Smithtown's Town Supervisor Patrick Vecchio.
Proceeds from the event will go to Angela's House and the Courtney Sipes Foundation.
