Villanova announced East lacrosse standout Ryan DeSimone is set to join the team for the 2011-12 school year, according to a laxpower.com report.
According to the report, Michael Corrado, coach of Villanova men's lacrosse, said DeSimone is one of 10 athletes to join the class of 2015.
The 5-foot 10-inch, 175 pound attackman was captain of the East lacrosse team, and earned numerous accolades during his high school career, including being named a 2011 Under Armour All-American, 2011 Top-50 Rising Senior, 2011 Academic All-American, All-County and All-Division selection, and more.

DeSimone also led Long Island in his senior season with 93 points, led Suffolk County with 48 assists and set school records for scoring eight goals in a game and accruing 11 points in a game.
