- Four new restaurants are set to open in Smith Haven Mall, but you might like to know that a Stony Brook Medicine Outpatient Facility and a Live Well store are also opening sometime this year. The outpatient facility will be located on the North Wing. Besides health care services, it will also host public events. To add to the facility, Live Well will offer nutritional supplements. - Raynham Hall Museum representatives will be at the Smithtown Public Library on Feb. 23 to host the lecture session "Standing Where They Stood-Slavery and Freedom." - Kings Park residents are voicing their opposition against the Kings Park rail yard plan. However, the property owner, Toby Carlson, spoke in a recent interview about the benefits the project would bring to Smithtown and Huntington. - A new Northwell Healthy Facility is now open at 222 Middle Country Road in Smithtown. About $1.5 million was invested in 4,000-square-foot practice that offers primary care services. (Long Island Business News)
