- On Saturday, a Scandinavian and Nordic Bazaar will be held at St. James Lutheran Church Parish Hall. A 24-foot Viking Ship will be displayed at the event. Imported food items, music, and other fun activities will be available starting at 10 a.m. (Smithtown Matters)
- Alexandros Kitchen & Bar is now Smithtown Pasta House. Chef Alfredo Cruz cooks various warm dishes for all “tastebuds.” An excellent opportunity to try this new eatery will be during the Fall Restaurant Week from Nov. 6- 13, when deals packages will be available. - For those who like to shop local, the Smithtown Shop Small Saturday kicks off this month to support our small business! Deals, coupons, and discounts will be offered on Nov. 26. There will be something for everyone. (Long Island Events)
- George Swanton allegedly robbed a Teacher’s Federal Credit Union in Commack On Oct. 7. According to the accusation, Swanton stole a minivan to go to the bank and demanded cash from the teller, who handed him $10,400. Swanton was disguised as a woman to commit the crime to make identifying him difficult during the police investigation. A court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 14. (TBR News Media)
