1. A Smith Haven Mall security guard was arrested on Thursday for committing a sexual assault in August of 2022. According to police, the 33 year-old-man apprehended a young woman who was allegedly shoplifting, escorted her to a storage room, and forced her to engage in a sex act with him in exchange for letting her go. 2. Smithtown Sweetbriar welcomed a new resident this week. On Wednesday, a Coyote was found astray in the Glen Oaks neighborhood in Queens. Police responded to a 911 call and quickly spotted the animal struggling with a broken hip. (Newsday)

• South Shore University Hospital celebrates the birth of identical triplets! Mia, Sofia and Brianna were born via C-section, making history as the first set of triplets delivered in the facility. (WABC-TV)
