- Local businesses in our community donated to the Smithtown Children’s Foundation Community Table grand tasting event hosted by Watermill Caterers to support families in the neighborhood facing food insecurity. Christine Fitzgerald is one of the founders of the event that will be held on Nov. 15. Multiple restaurants will bring the best of their menus to the dinner. - Police seek two men for burglarizing a house on Cecily Lane in Commack. Police reported the burglars entered the home through the back door and stole jewelry, cash, and a laptop, and fled on a Dodge Nitro on Oct. 13. (News 12 Bronx)
- Smithtown school district student, Anthony Spiezio, is helping the troops and their families with a fundraiser that has become a success in the community. Spiezio raised $4,000 by selling t-shirts with the slogan "Remember Everyone Deployed." He created the initiative by participating in the school's DECA Chapter program, where he is the director. - Commack School District is under a cyberattack. The school Superintendent Jordan Cox announce the issue to the parents. One of the problems caused by the attack was the disconnection of the district's main telephone. Ransomware is a criminal act and the police are investigating the case. (Newsday)
- Smithtown Veterans Day features two community events. A parade is set in Kings Park at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Church Street and Old Dock. Another event is a ceremony held at Veterans Plaza, Main St., in Smithtown at 10:45 a.m. (Smithtown Patch)

- Smithtown Performing Arts Center features Disney's classic Beauty and the Beast Jr. The play will open on Nov. 19 and will be on stage through Jan. 22. Tickets can be purchased at the provided link. (Smithtown Performing Arts Center)
- President of autism charity, Gregory Vasicek, is facing charges for defrauding Adventureland and other businesses. According to the police is accused of collecting money for golf fundraisers that never happened. (LI News12)
