  1. Adoptable dogs, puppies and kittens arrive on wheels! Join the Mobile Adoption Event Saturday at Smithtown Acura in St. James. The event will be from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the car dealership located at 780 Middle Country Road. (Smithtown Patch)
  2. On Thursday, Tiffany Xu, 54, of Syosset, was arrested in connection with unlicensed massage and prostitution during a raid at a massage parlor in Nesconset, Suffolk police said. In response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk police and Smithtown Public Safety/Fire Marshal investigated 7 Foot Spa, at 145 Smithtown Blvd. Xu was charged with prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession.   3. Supermoon alert! Sunday and Monday the first of two total lunar eclipses will be visible to New York residents, it will turn May's full flower moon blood red. According to NASA, the partial eclipse starts at 10:28 p.m. EDT. The moon's face will gradually get darker until fully covered at 12:11 a.m. Monday. The total eclipse will last about 1 hour and 25 minutes, ending at 1:55 a.m. (Patch)

Police are looking for a man who stole a woman’s purse containing credit cards and cash from a shopping cart inside BJ’s Wholesale Club, located at 2 Veterans Memorial Highway, at 1:51 p.m. on April 20. Anyone with information about this incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS. (Smithtown Matters)
  5. FLIP Circus is coming to Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on May 20-30! Enjoy clowns, acrobats, jugglers, daredevils and a quintet that recently escaped war-torn Ukraine, in a traditional red-and-white-striped big circus tent.
