  1. Doreen Dunbar, 50, was arrested on robbery and assault charges Saturday night, Suffolk police said. Dunbar stole a car from St. Mary’s Church parking lot and ran over the owner Lorraine Lombardo, 73, of St. James, who tried to stop her. Lombardo parked near a clothing donation bin and got out with the motor running, police said. (Daily Voice)

  3. Early Wednesday morning, a Long Island Rail Road train struck and killed a person in Ronkonkoma. The LIRR said an "unauthorized person on tracks" was hit by the train at about 2:45 a.m. near the Ocean Avenue crossing, MTA Reports. (Daily Voice)

Police have released a photo of a man accused of stealing a Roomba vacuum, valued at about $580, from Target, located at 265 Pond Path in Centereach, on Tuesday, April 19, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-220-TIPS. (Daily Voice)
