  1. Town of Smithtown residents parking permits (vehicle window sticker) are now available online! The permit allows residents to park registered vehicles at town parks, beaches and public facilities within the township. To register, log on to the Smithtown Portal. (Smithtown Matters)

  3. CityMD parent company buys Long Island medical group. Dr. Dan Frogel, chief medical officer for the New York region at Summit Health, said the Long Island group brings with it "a wide range of multispecialty and primary care services." (Long Island Business News)
  4. Donors are sought to help with the current blood shortage at the Stony Brook Hospital Blood Bank. It only takes 45 minutes — from paperwork to juice and cookies — to donate whole blood, and every donation is used to treat a Stony Brook University Hospital patient. Convenient hours are available Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome, but on weekends, holidays, before 8 a.m. and after 4 p.m. on weekdays, please call 631-444-2634 as hours may vary.
