- A national shortage of baby formula is due to ongoing supply chain disruptions, combined with a recent safety recall. Jill Cioffi, MD, Stony Brook Childrenās Hospital emphasizes that parents follow guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also suggests this (AAP) article: HealthyChildren.org. - Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Francis Street in Nesconset. On May 8 at 9 p.m., a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was parked in a driveway was stolen, police said. The Jeep was left unlocked and the keys were inside, police said. (Smithtown Patch)
- On Monday, Island Harvest Food Bank unveiled its new logo and its new Melville headquarters. The new branding changes the food bankās slogan from āFighting hunger.
