1. Paws of War has convoys of supplies being deployed in Ukraine but the number of animals in need is overwhelming. Paws of War is setting up food and water stations to try and keep up with the demand. To donate to help Paws of War's Ukraine efforts, you may do so here. (Smithtown Patch)
2. Suffolk police said a vehicle fire was reported at an Islandia BP gas station at 8:29 a.m. The vehicle was on fire inside the station's service shop, and the fire had spread through the building, police reported. Part of the building collapsed, fire officials said. (Daily Voice)

5. Our pothole prayers have been answered with Gov. Kathy Hochul's announcement of a $157 million investment into the Pavement Renewal Project to ease stress traveling on Long Island highways. The $157 million will go into fixing Long Island's pothole-pitted roadways. (Daily Voice)
