- Saturday evening around 6:15 p.m., a man stole approximately $1,530 worth of fragrances from Ulta Beauty, in Lake Grove, police said. He was wearing a gray jacket, black hat, blue jeans and black shoes with white soles, police said. Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS. (Smithtown Patch)
- Late Wednesday night a 17-year-old driver was driving a Honda CRV eastbound on Sunrise Highway, east of Exit 39 in North Babylon, around 10:10 p.m. Suddenly, gunfire erupted from the passenger side of a black vehicle passing the teen on the left, police said. The teen was able to call 911 to report the shooting, according to officials. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said early Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. (CBS New York)
