- Meet Jason Lambert, the new coordinator of physical education, health, athletics and nurses of the Smithtown Central School District. For nearly two decades, Lambert has served Smithtown as the lacrosse coach at High School East for 11 years and has also coached football and lacrosse at Great Hollow. (Smithtown Patch)
- Connor DeSimone, a St. James native turned professional in men's lacrosse, will make his return to Long Island in the Premier Lacrosse League. DeSimone's Archers are set to take on the Cannons. Way to go! (Smithtown Patch)
- Angel Tacuri, age 53, of Patchogue, will spend 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple sex crimes, including sexual conduct against a child. He abused children enrolled at his wife’s unlicensed day care. He will spend an additional 20 years of supervised release, according to the Suffolk County DA’s office. (Daily Voice)
