  1. The Town of Smithtown Blood Drive will be held at the Smithtown Landing Country Club on March 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For every person who donates blood, the New York Blood Center will make a donation to Feeding New York State. (Press Release Desk)
  2. An arrest has been made in the early morning Ronkonkoma robbery. Officers responded to a 911 call for a robbery that took place on Railroad Avenue at about 2:10 a.m., according to police. No one was injured, police said. No other details, including the names of the arrestees, which would have been made public in court at their arraignments, were released by police. (Patch)
  3. Department of Environmental Conservation is hosting a public hearing on Proposed Management Actions to Rebuild Striped Bass. The hearings is scheduled on Wednesday, March 16, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., DEC Division of Marine Resources, 123 Kings Park Blvd, Kings Park. (Smithtown Matters)
  4. John Parente, a 63-year-old Brookhaven man was driving a 2007 Ford pickup truck westbound on Express Drive North when the vehicle left the road, struck a tree and overturned, Suffolk County Police said. The man was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is in critical condition. (Patch)
