Aksakal had pregnant Turkish women fraudulently enter the United States and had them stay in one of seven “birth houses” in Center Moriches, Dix Hills, East Northport, East Patchogue, Smithtown and West Babylon, New York. - Charles Entenmann, famous for making a Long Island bakery, Entenmann's Bakery, a household name, dies at 92. The bakery was founded by Charles' grandfather William, in 1898 in Brooklyn. "After serving in the Army, Charlie, along with brothers Robert and William and mother Martha, took the family business, Entenmann's Bakery, from Main Street, Bay Shore, N.Y., to grocers across America," the obituary reads.
