- A Lake Ronkonkoma woman, Johanna Iovino, 30, appeared in court Sunday where she was "arraigned on two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death," according to Suffolk County police. Ryan Walker, age 37, was killed and Robert Kehlenbeck, age 46, died Saturday. The incident took place in Holtsville last week. (Daily Voice)
- The Patch reported earlier this year that the restaurant by Old Fields restaurateur David Tunney would replace Pentimento; now we know its name: Luca. The restaurant will have a a modern Italian flair will seat 80 inside and an additional 30 outside and will open by the end of June or early July. (Greater Long Island)
- Both Nassau and Suffolk counties has recently been classified as high-risk communities for COVID transmission. Health officials are now recommending Long Islanders wear masks indoors again. The CDC mask recommendation is not mandatory, but encouraged. (News 12 Long Island)
