Smithtown FD To Host Fire Prevention Day
The event will include demonstrations, activities, a meet and greet with the fire chief, and a tour of a fire engine.

SMITHTOWN, NY — The Smithtown Fire Department is set to host its Fire Prevention Day on Oct. 22, a spokesman for the department announced. The event is slated to run noon to 3 p.m. at the firehouse, at 100 Elm Avenue.
The event is for all ages and will feature an assortment of demonstrations: fire and rescue; smoke house; stop drop and roll; spraying a fire hose; ambulance and first aid; and riding the ladder bucket. There will also be an opportunity to meet Smithtown Fire Chief Timothy Duckham and a tour of a fire engine.
Girl and Cub Scout troops will receive a special patch.
