- The 43rd annual Smithtown Fire Department Christmas Parade kicks off on Dec. 17. The event is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. from 100 Elm Avenue in Smithtown. I am sure many of you want to know the entire route to watch the decorated firetrucks "marching" through the neighborhood. Visit here to learn where and when! (Smithtown Patch)

- Suffolk police are seeking a man who slashed the tires of seven cars in a parking lot. The vehicles were parked in the Suffolk County Department of Social Services parking lot.
