Smithtown High School East Junior Heading to Study in Japan

A Smithtown High School East junior was selected for the Japan Society’s Junior Fellows program.

Gabby Lynn, one of six students chosen for the program from a nationwide group of entrants, which means she will head out on a three-week trip to Japan over the summer to attend classes in a Japanese High School, learning about their native art and culture. Lynn's efforts in the Going Global program, including work performed in her art classes and in the Art Honor Society, gave her the qualification needed for the trip.
