Smithtown Hospital Hosting Free Community Health Fair
Activities include Q&As with prospective providers, a prescription drug take back, free health screenings and community organizations.

SMITHTOWN, NY — St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown is bringing back its annual Free Community Health Fair for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic, Catholic Health announced.
The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13 at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, at 50 Route 25A, Smithtown. It will be held under the big tent in the parking lot rain or shine.
Activities include Q&As with prospective health care providers from more than 50 specialties and programs; a prescription drug take back; free health screenings; the presence of community organizations and partners; and a "Blessing of the Hands" offered by the hospital's pastoral care team.

Screenings offered include blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and BMI. Colon cancer questionnaires will be available, as well.
Children-friendly activities will include pet therapy, free face painting, a meet and greet with first responders, a tour of a Catholic Health ambulance, and a "Teddy Bear Clinic" where children can bring their favorite stuffed animal so staff can show them what it is like to be a patient at the hospital.
