Smithtown HS West Introduces New Assistant Principal

SMITHTOWN, NY — Kristen Schnall was hired as new assistant principal of Smithtown High School West, the Smithtown School District announced.

Schnall, who has been in the education field for the past 15 years, joins Smithtown from Glen Cove High School, where she served as a school counselor the past 12 years.

"I feel as an assistant principal I can still advocate for students and be their biggest cheerleader but
in a more administrative capacity," Schnall said in a news release.

Schnall attended Towson University and later received her counseling and administrative master's degree at LIU Post. She has an 8-year old daughter with her husband, who is a teacher on Long Island.
