Smithtown HSW Soccer Falls In County Championship Game

Smithtown was defeated by Connetquot in a game decided by a penalty-kicks shootout.

SMITHTOWN, NY — The Smithtown High School West boys varsity soccer team fell to Connetquot in Thursday's Suffolk County Championship match.

Smithtown was defeated in a penalty-kick shootout. The teams were tied 1-1 after regulation and played two scoreless overtimes. Connetquot won the shootout 3-2, according to the Smithtown School District.

The Smithtown High School West boys soccer team went 13-4-1 this season and 7-4-1 within their conference.
