Here are the top four stories today in Smithtown:

1. A Smithtown motorcyclist was taken in serious condition to Stony Brook Hospital after hitting a deer in Port Jefferson, which caused him to fall off his motorcycle and hit his head on the pavement. The accident happened on East Broadway on Wednesday night. (Port Jefferson Patch)
2. Kings Parks has a new Assisted Living Facility. The St. Johnland group officials and staff gathered on gorgeous grounds at 395 Sunken Meadow Road in Kings Parks for the grand opening of the 100-bed building that will accommodate Medicaid-eligible senior citizens. (TBR News Media)
3. A facade of a building at 840 Middle Country Road in St. James collapsed on Thursday afternoon. Police said one worker was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The structure has been under construction for the last two weeks. Sixteen workers were at the scene during the incident. (Smithtown Patch)
