  1. It's time to "Travel Back to the 80s" at the Smithtown Performing Arts Center. Participants are invited to dress "Rad" on Friday, July 14. A well-known group of characters will gather to perform a hilarious story straight from the 80s and dance through the night. For more information and tickets, click here. (Smithtown Chronicle)
  2. A stolen card in East Northport was used by a male suspect who made a significant purchase of merchandise at a CVS Pharmacy in Commack. According to the police, the man stole the card from Barnes and Noble. Suffolk Crime Stoppers released images of the suspect and are asking for the public's help to help identify him. (Patch)
  3. The USA Lacrosse Magazine published the High School Girls' Players of the Week, and Smithtown East student and athlete Ava Arceri made it to the list. Visit the link I've shared to know her achievements. Congratulations Ava! (USA Lax Magazine)
  4. The Smithtown Public Library-Nesconset Building is hosting a Morning Bingo for adults on Tuesday, June 13! There will be prizes and refreshments from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is required and can be made at Smithlib.org. (Smithtown Matters)
  5. Kason Parker from Albany was sentenced to 25 years to life for murdering his ex-girlfriend on Long Island. He pleaded guilty to stabbing 27-year-old Meghan Kiefer in 2021. Read the whole story here. (Patch)
