Smithtown Police Blotter: Car Stolen, Credit Cards Left Inside It Used
ALSO: The drawer of a cash register was stolen from a business, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Smithtown area from Sept. 23 through Sept. 29.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Sept. 27: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on Middle Country Road in Smithtown at 3:42 a.m. The drawer from a cash register was stolen from Mavis Discount Tire, police said.
- Sept. 24: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Jefferson Avenue in St. James at 3 a.m. A 2014 Nissan Rogue was stolen overnight, police said. Credit cards were left inside the vehicle, and the stolen credit cards were used, police said.
