Smithtown Police Blotter: Man Accused Of Striking Man, 65, At Jake's 58
ALSO: Three people face grand larceny charges after Target theft; man accused of possessing drugs with intent to sell, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Smithtown area from Aug. 4 through Aug. 10.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Aug. 8: Kelly Kozub, 44, of North Bellport, stole $1,052 worth of items from Target, at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, on Oct. 26, 2024, while acting with two others, police said. She was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000, police said. cc: 660367
- Aug. 8: Bjoern Lienemann, 55, of Northport, stole $1,052 worth of items from Target, at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, on Oct. 26, 2024, while acting with two others, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000, police said.
- Aug. 8: Justin Smith, 37, of Northport, stole $1,052 worth of items from Target, at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, on Oct. 26, 2024, while acting with two others, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000, police said.
- Aug. 7: Dorsey Roundtree, 29, whose address is unknown, struck a man at Jake's 58 Casino Hotel around 2 p.m. July 19, police said. The man suffered a facial cut, bruising, and pain, police said. Roundtree was arrested and charged with second-degree assault: victim at least 65 or older/defendant 10 years younger, police said.
- Aug. 5: Luis Loh, 38, of Palisades Park, NJ, possessed methamphetamine and ketamine on the corner of Willow Road and Express Drive North in Hauppauge on Aug. 5, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: hallucinogen with intent to sell, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Incident
- Aug. 4: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Seventh Avenue in St. James at 2:25 p.m. Unauthorized charges were made on a man's credit card, police said.
