Smithtown Police Blotter: Man Punched By Multiple People

The man was taken to a hospital, police say. ALSO: A vehicle was damaged in a hit-and-run, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Feb. 22: Assault (second-degree) was reported on Cornell Avenue in Smithtown at 10:20 p.m. A man was punched in the left eye, police said. The man was then punched multiple times by multiple people, police said. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.
  • Feb. 17: Operator leaves scene of property damage accident was reported on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 1 p.m. A vehicle was hit by another vehicle in a parking lot, police said. The driver drove off, police said.
