Smithtown Police Blotter: Man Steals 2 Pocketbooks At Bar
The pocketbooks both contained credit cards, police say. A cellphone was also stolen, police say.

- July 6: Giovani Medina-Diaz, 29, Centereach, stole two pocketbooks, containing credit cards, from two different people at Ilusiones Bar & Lounge on West Main Street in Smithtown around 2:30 a.m. July 6, police said. Medina-Diaz also stole a Samsung cellphone from one of the women, police said. He was arrested and charged with four counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000, police said.
