SMITHTOWN, NY — Smithtown-area residents are set to head to the polls on Tuesday, May 20.

Voters will head to the polls from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at their assigned polling place.

The proposed budget totals $294,996,977, up 1.74 percent from the current year's $289,952,988.

The proposed tax levy is $225,634,831, or a 2.84 percent increase from last year's.

  • Bernadette Ackerman and Alfred Carfora are competing for Michael Catalanotto's seat.
  • Karen Wontrobski-Ricciardi and Theresa Donohue are competing for Michael Saidens's seat.
  • Mike Simonelli and Brandon Solomon are competing for John Savoretti's seat.
