Smithtown Town Board Meeting: Water District Funds, Site Plans

SMITHTOWN, NY — The Smithtown Town Board meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 is set to cover the Board of Water, site plan review, Board of Zoning Appeals, and more. Smithtown Town Hall is at 99 W. Main St., Smithtown.

The meeting is set to cover topics including:

• Conditionally approve the site plan for Voxx International Corp. for the proposed 7,246 one-story accessory building for industrial use with parking lot modifications and accessory site work. The building is at Marcus Boulevard and Arkay Drive in Hauppauge.
• Conditionally approve the site plan for MTK 200 Crossways, LLC for the proposed demolition of an existing 20,043 square-foot industrial building and the construction of a two-story 29,555 square-foot building for warehouse and office use. The plan also includes a 25,300-square-foot cellar. The building is at Parkway Drive South, Hauppauge.

The Board of Water Commissioners are set to authorize:

• The transfer of $32,000 in water accounts, $5,000 in overtime salary, and $4,000 in postage for a total of $41,000 for the maintenance and repairs of the St. James Water District.
• The transfer of $5,000 in part-time salaries to overtime salary for the Smithtown Water District.
