  1. Police are investigating an accident where a Commack resident drove his vehicle into the water at Maple Avenue in Bayshore. Officials said Robert Lancaster suffered a medical condition. Rescuers pulled him out of the water, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. (Smithtown Matters)
  2. Smithtown High School students are sending generous gifts to people in Ukraine. West ENL library students aides and students from the Makerspace Club gathered to make scarfs, gloves, socks, and more. Two teenagers who participated in the action have families in Ukraine, which motivated the group even more. (Smithtown Matters)
  3. Three men were caught on camera while shoplifting at the Ulta Store on Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack. The trio took approximately $16,000 worth of merchandise from the store. No arrests were made and police asked for help identifying the suspects. (News 12 Bronx)
  4. The Town of Smithtown Tree Lighting Ceremony is set for Wednesday, November 30, at the Town Hall. The event is open to all and starts at 5 p.m. Live music, treats and a Santa Claus visit are among the attractions. It should be mentioned that it's free for all. (Patch)
