  1. The Smithtown Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony is on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Community will enjoy live performances. Hot chocolate, balloon sculpting and other holiday fun from 5 to 6:30 p.m. You might like to know this event is free. All are welcome. (Town of Smithtown)
  2. No registration is required to visit the art exhibit "The Healing Power of Nature" at the Smithtown Public Library- Kings Park building. A collection of photographs by artist John P. Cardone will be on display starting Dec. 2. All are welcome to visit the exhibition during regular library hours. (Smithtown Public Library)
  3. Smithtown Sweetbriar Center Outdoor Thrift Market is set for Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Quality items will be on sale to help the wildlife in the center. All are welcome to stop by and shop and, of course, to say hello to the residents! (Sweetbriar Center)
  4. This is the time of the year most porches are filled with delivery boxes for the holidays. This time also can raise concerns over your item's safety as "porch pirates" are on the lookout for stealing boxes.
