- Students from Accompsett Elementary School in Smithtown showed their competitive spirit at the "Winter Olympics" night. Coach and physical education teacher, Ed Shivokevich organized the event on Thursday at Smithtown High School West. Tim Hellmuth, the school principal, said that's the best night of the year for all families to come to see their kids competing in a hurdle race, basketball, hula hoop challenge and more! - St. James Episcopal Church offers a free coffee hour every Wednesday at 10 a.m. That's a nice opportunity to meet the neighbors and start friendships. In addition to that, the church is also accepting donations of gently used items such as books, home dƩcor, jewelry and more. All who contribute will receive a tax donation letter. - Adventure Land opens for the season on March 25! The park announced an upgraded ticket and pass system and added snacks to its menu. For those who want to get tickets or reserve passes click here. (News12)
