St. James Firefighter Named St. Pat's Parade Grand Marshall

The Board of Directors select Thomas Donohue to receive the Grand Marshall honor.

The Board of Directors for the St. James Chamber of Commerce have named chairman of the St. James 9/11 Memorial Thomas Donohue as the Grand Marshall for the 23rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Donohue, a lifelong St. James resident and 1989 Smithtown High School East graduate, joined the St. James Fire District and became a New York State certified EMT during his senior year of high school. The firefighter, employed by Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, helped bring the 14,000 pound bow tie column recovered from Tower One of the World Trade Center to the memorial prior to the 10th anniversary of September 11.
