Here are the top four stories today in Smithtown:

1. The State Little League Tournament returns to Smithtown on Thursday, July 13! The event will be held at Gaynor Park at noon. It's promising to be a festive day for all who show up, with entertainment for families and a bounce house and face painting. (Smithtown Gov.)
2. Once again, the Town of Smithtown adequately disposed of 11 tons of hazardous waste. According to the town's Environment and Waterways and Municipal Services, 351 Smithtown residents participated in the event on Saturday, July 8. (Smithtown Patch)
3. Long Island Events: The Long Island Summer Fest is on the horizon this weekend! The fest is set for Saturday, July 15, and features over 100 kinds of wine and craft beers from 1 to 4:30 p.m. (Patch)
4. Attention foodies, a Korean Grill is now open on Jericho Turnpike. The eatery takes over the old Aki sushi spot at 2074 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport, and according to a published article on Long Island, it's a five star must try! (LongIsland.com)
