Summer Rains Cancel Jimmy Buffett Concert at Library
Summer concert series continues next week with Eagles tribute band, Desert Highway.

There won't be any dancing in the rain on the front lawn of the Smithtown Library this Thursday night.Â
The Smithtown Library has cancelled the performance of Jimmy Buffett  tribute band, Jimmy Kenny and the Pirate Beach Band, scheduled for Thursday night due to afternoon showers forecasted to last into the evening.Â
"This concert has not been rescheduled as of this date," says the library's automated message.Â
The summer concert series' schedule originally set aside Aug. 29 as a potential rain date, but the rescheduling has not been confirmed.Â
The library's phone lines came back online earlier Thursday after a utility pole fire left the building without electricity and cable on Tuesday morning.Â
Next week, the Smithtown Library Summer Concert series will feature the Eagles tribute band, Desert Highway.Â
