'Supportive, Sets A Great Example': Smithtown Star Student-Athlete

SMITHTOWN, NY — We all know student-athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Landon is not just a 3 varsity sport athlete, he’s actually a 4 sport athlete as he kicks for the football team as well as being on the soccer team. In sports works hard to get better every day, but he also works to be kind, inclusive, and supportive to all his teammates. Off the field, he is a member of multiple academic honor societies and takes numerous AP classes to round him out. At home, Landon is a stellar uncle to his 4 nieces and nephews and sets a great example of what they can be when they grow up.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

When he’s available Landon also helps coach kids with different abilities in soccer and basketball to help spread the love of sports to kids that typically don’t get to participate in team sports.
