  1. Three Smithtown liquor store employees were arrested Thursday for selling alcohol to minors. Police investigated six businesses in the neighborhood after receiving multiple complaints from residents. Lucky Lotto Beer & Smoke Shop and Krypton Smoke Shop, located on Smithtown Boulevard, were among the establishments where arrests were made. (Smithtown Matters)
  2. Eight restaurants in Smithtown are participating in the Long Island Fall Restaurant Week on Sunday, Nov. 6-13. Casa Rustica, Smithtown Pasta House, Chop Shop Bar & Grill and others will offer prix-fixe, two-course lunch and three-course dinner.   3. A total of six workers were injured during the St. James building collapse. One was airlifted in critical condition to Stony Brook Hospital. According to officials, the employees fell 20 feet down due to the façade collapse. A Suffolk police officer nearby at the time helped with the triage. (Smithtown Patch)
  4. Nesconset's Paws Of War is in the race to help six puppies held at JFK airport. U.S. soldiers rescued the dogs from remote areas. All have clean, healthy certificates. Still, the nonprofit is helping with the additional paperwork required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (Smithtown Patch)
