- For those looking for a summer job, the town of Smithtown is hiring scorekeepers. The salary offered is $18 per hour, Monday- Friday. Notice that applicants must be 18 or older. If you are interested in this position, visit here. (Patch)

- A 17-year-old was arrested under DWI charges in Dix Hills. The teen was involved in a crash in which two people were seriously injured on Vanderbilt Parkway. According to the police, the driver lost control of her vehicle on McCulloch Dr. while intoxicated. There is an arrangement for a court appearance for the case. (TBR News Media)

Michigan Institute of Healthcare Policy released results of a survey that show one in eight adults struggles to keep food portions low.
