- Smithtown Historical Society is inviting children up to 5 years old to participate in the Book on the barn! Registrations are open for all who want to hear farm tales and visit the animals who live in the center. The class begins at 10 a.m. on March 27. Registrations can be made by calling 631-360-2480. - Vendors are being accepted for the Nesconset's Spring Fling on Sunday. May 21. The Food Truck and Craft Fair event will be held in the Nesconset Gazebo Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Smithtown Patch will make sure to keep readers posted about this outing as it approaches. - Smithtown High School West student and Track Runner Laina Friedmann made history by breaking the record of 2:55:05 in the 1000m run and 1:35:20 for the 600m run. She now qualifies for the State Meet. Congratulations! (Smithtown Patch)
- There will be a St. Patrick's craft program at the Smithtown Library-Commack building on Thursday, March 2. The Irish Kisses and Shamrock Wishes begins at 6:30 p.m. with participants creating a hand-painted wood sign! A fee of $15 is asked for the materials used during the class. (Smithtown Public Library)
- A special delivery was proceeded by Suffolk County Police officers near exit 53 of the LIE. A 911 call reported a woman in labor in a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road. Sure enough, the baby was safely delivered at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday. (Daily Voice)

- There is so much history in the Graveyards and Cemeteries on Long Island. During the Lecture Series, historians of the Three Village Historical Society want to share interesting facts with the public on Monday, March 20.
