- Smithtown Historical Society asks the community to vote on the Festival of Trees. If you have a Facebook account, you can see a photo of the participant's decorated trees, like your favorite! Winners will win a prize. Those who want to join the contest can signup in person during the Suffolk Lantern Festival at the Smithtown Historical Society. (Smithtown Historical Society)
- Smithtown Fire Department published great retirement wishes to Steve Smith and Terry Brennan, who have been answering 911 calls in the district for more than 32 years. - A Fundraiser was held at Flowerfield in St. James in honor of the Island Federal Credit Union at the Ronald McDonald House Charities. About $125,000 was raised during the event to support educational programs in Suffolk County.
