WATCH: Smithtown Participates in 'Harlem Shake' Trend
Videos of locals dancing to the trendy song made in 2012 are now emerging.
By now you've either heard of these "Harlem Shake"Â videos being made or have seen quite a few, and whether or not you love or hate the trend, some Smithtown folks have taken to YouTube with their own renditions.
The song, created by deejay and producer Baauer – who ironically isn't actually from Harlem, NY, but did live there for a short period of time – created the song "Harlem Shake" in 2012. Since the song's release a myriad of videos of people dancing to the record have popped-up, from the Miami Heat's version to people dancing in their living rooms, at their office and more.
Both a group of students from Smithtown High School West and a group of adults in their living room both debuted their video one week ago. You can check both videos out here. Â
