  1. A Winter Walk will be hosted in St. James on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. Participants are requested to meet at Lake Avenue. The Smithtown School District features live performances, St. Philip and James Choir will sing carols, and Santa will be at Celebrate Park. It should be mentioned the event is free and open to the community! (All Events)
  2. Heroes from the wildlife rescuers from Strong Island Animal Rescue and Smithtown Sweetbriar Nature Center helped a buck trapped on a wire fence on Quaker Path in South Setauket. The team carefully cut the mesh off and freed the poor animal on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Great teamwork to protect wildlife. (Three Village Patch)
  3. Jacqueline Jewett has been arrested in Connecticut for her connection with larcenies she allegedly committed on Long Island. According to the police, Jewett stole around $1 million but no further information of what or where was released by officials. (Daily Voice)
