2 Injured In 2-Car Crash In Southampton: Fire Officials
The vehicles were severely damaged, officials say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Two people were injured in a Southampton crash Tuesday, fire officials said.
According to Chris Brenner, public information officer for the Southampton Fire Department, the crash took place at 1:15 p.m. on Montauk Highway and St. Andrews Road in Shinnecock Hills. Fire officials said it was reported that there was entrapment, and that both vehicles had sustained heavy damage.
Two people were injured, Brenner said. Both patients were treated at the scene by the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance and then transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.

The road was closed from Tuckahoe Lane to Tuckahoe Road, Brenner said; Southampton fire police diverted traffic. Crews were at the scene to address fluids in the roadway from both vehicles.
Chief Manny Escobar was at the helm for the Southampton Fire Department and Chief Ian King took the lead for the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance, Brenner said.
